Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: There should be a System concerning the Approach to the National Armed Forces as well Precise Doctrine that should be constantly realized according to the Sufficient Finance and Economic Basis
On Tuesday, the 15th of September 2009, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada during the press-conference in Chernivtsi region has expressed own position regarding recently adopted by the State Duma of Russian Federation in the first reading the Law "On Defence".
In particular, he declared that we should analyze such decisions but should take into the consideration not only what measures takes the neighbouring country but more we should take care about the provision of predictability in our life, consolidation of policy and society, we should live our own wisdom.
V. Lytvyn also "expressed against provocation of military disposition". "Somebody is even disappointed that our nation is peaceful and does not demonstrate warlike character. But we do not need it, - the leader of the Parliament declared. Exactly sound sense of Ukrainian citizens is a stabilization of the country life".
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada has also denied the possibility of the military threat. "But it can be rendered impossible only under the condition id Ukraine is not ruined through the degradation of power and decline of the management system in Ukraine", - V. Lytvyn emphasised.
He also has pointed out the attention that because of the political fighting in Ukraine national army suffers a lot. "Due to the present approach to the Armed Forces of Ukraine even the finance infusions immediately would not give necessary result that is why there should be precise doctrine, system that should be constantly realized according to the sufficient finance and economic basis", - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared.
According to V. Lytvyn one should point out the attention on the needs of the Armed Forces, especially during the Budget for the next year elaboration.
